Hey y’all! Well, summer is right around the corner, which means many of us are trying to shed those last few pounds before we put on that swimsuit! So, to help you reach those weight loss goals a lot faster, I’m sharing my top 3 favorite weight loss smoothie recipes! These are the smoothies are reach for anytime I need to lose a few extra pounds very quickly for summer or for a special event.
In fact, I suggest replacing 1-2 meals per day with one of these weight loss smoothies and watch how fast the weight comes off! I recommend this tip to my clients who need to lose weight and it works 99% of the time. The average weight loss if you replace 2 meals per day with a weight loss smoothie is 5-10 lbs but I’ve had some clients who’ve lost upwards of 20 lbs in one week from doing this (and felt great too!).
The key to making a good weight loss smoothie is to make sure you add in lots of healthy fats and fiber. The fats and fiber will not only keep you full between meals, but they’ll also help to keep your blood sugar levels steady, which will keep your cravings under control.
My rule of thumb is to only add 1 serving of fruit per smoothie. So, for instance, add in 1 C. of frozen berries or 1/2 C. of berries and 1/2 banana. This way you’re still getting in the antioxidants and vitamin C from the fruit but without the massive blood sugar spikes.
And, by the way, these smoothies contain enough calories to serve as a meal replacement so you won’t be starving throughout the day!

Weight Loss Smoothie #1 – Fat Burning Matcha Smoothie
Ingredients
1/2 Frozen Banana
1/2 C. Frozen Mango
1-2 Kale Leaves, de-stemmed
3 Tbsp Hemp Seeds
1 tsp Matcha Powder
1/2 Tbsp Virgin Coconut Oil or MCT Oil
Juice from 1/2 a Lemon
1 Scoop Collagen Protein Powder (or your favorite protein powder)
Water, to taste
My Fat-Burning Matcha Smoothie not only helps with boosting metabolism and fat burning, but it’s also a great pick-me-up thanks for the natural caffeine content in the matcha, which is why I would suggest using it as a meal replacement for breakfast or lunch.
Mathca powder contain metabolism boosting properties as well as antioxidants and is one of the best superfoods to add to your weight loss smoothie recipes.
I also included MCT Oil in this smoothie because MCTs (medium chain fatty acids) can help put your body is fat-burning mode as well. MCTs are unlike any other type of fat because they can be used instantly by the body for energy and fuel instead of being stored. This not only helps with boosting metabolism, but it also helps with overall brain function.
Weight Loss Smoothie #2 – Fat Fueled Chocolate Fiber Smoothie
Ingredients
1/2 Frozen Banana
1/2 Ripe Avocado
3 Tbsp Ground Flax or Chia Seeds
1 Tbsp Unsweetened Almond Butter
1 Handful Spinach
1 Tbsp Cacao Powder
1 Scoop Collagen Protein Powder (or your favorite protein powder)
Unsweetened Almond Milk, to taste
This smoothie packs in the fiber, which is great for weight loss! The extra fiber from the ground flaxseeds, avocado, and spinach are going to help clean out your colon naturally and remove any backed up waste. As a result, you’ll not only lose weight and reduce the bloating, but it’ll also keep you full between meals.
Additionally, the cacao powder will help to curb your chocolate cravings while providing your body with extra magnesium. I highly recommend using raw cacao powder instead of cocoa powder due to its high magnesium content. Magnesium can help to reduce junk food cravings, reduce anxiety and stress, and improve sleep.
Smoothie Recipe #3 – Berry-licious Blueberry Smoothie
Ingredients
1 C. Frozen Blueberries
1/2 Ripe Avocado
1 Tbsp Unsweetened Almond Butter
Juice from 1/2 a Lemon
1 Handful Spinach
1/4 tsp Cinnamon
1 Scoop Collagen Protein Powder (or your favorite protein powder)
Water, to taste
Blueberries are not only packed with loads of antioxidants, but they’re also a great source of Vitamin C. Vitamin C is essential for adrenal health and healthy adrenals can help to reduce belly fat.
Cinnamon is another great addition to add to your weight loss smoothie recipes because it can help to stabilize blood sugar levels and keeping your blood sugars steady is a major factor in controlling your cravings. In fact, I like to add cinnamon to nearly all of my smoothie recipes.
