Today, I’m sharing 6 wellness shot recipes with y’all! These homemade wellness shots are a great way to boost your immune system, fight inflammation, nourish your body, and even improve energy levels. They’re packed with antioxidants, antimicrobial properties, Vitamin C, and other health boosting properties.
Best of all, they’re super easy to make, will save you money, and are a lot more fresh than most of the wellness shots you buy at the store. You can prep these wellness shots up to 7 days in advance if stored in the fridge and up to 30 days in advance if stored in the freezer.

Anti-Inflammatory Wellness Shots to Boost Immunity
Below, you will find a variety of wellness shot recipes that each have a unique property about them. Of course, they all help to fight inflammation, boost immunity, and promote overall wellness. But, in addition to that, each wellness shot recipe contains a unique ingredient to boost it’s health effects even more.
For instance, the Immune Boosting Elderberry Shot contains elderberry extract, which has been shown to dramatically strengthen your immune system, which can be especially beneficial during cold and flu season. The Berry Beet Energizing shot contains ashwagandha extract, which can help to boost energy levels naturally while supporting your adrenal glands.
So, I suggest mixing up these wellness shot recipes week by week to get a variety of health promoting nutrients.

How to Prep these Wellness Shots with a Blender (no juicer needed)
If you have a juicer, you can absolutely use it to make your wellness shots. However, since many people only have a blender, I wanted to share how you can make these without a juicer.
Items you will need:
- High Speed Blender – I use a Vitamix. I’ve had my Vitamix for 10+ years and it’s well worth the investment if you can make it happen. Here’s another good high speed blender.
- Nutmilk Bag – This is the easiest way to separate the juice from the pulp in my experience. You can also use a triple layered cheesecloth or a find mesh strainer.
- 2 oz Shot Glasses – If I’m only going to be storing these shots in the fridge for up to 7 days, I’ll use these glass jars. If I’m prepping 30 days worth and going to be freezing the shots, I’ll use these BPA free plastic jars.
Steps to Take:
- Step 1 – Wash your produce. No needed to peel the skin.
- Step 2 – Add produce for each shot recipe to a high speed blender with water. Blend until smooth.
- Step 3 – Strain the liquid into a bowl with a nutmilk bag until you’re only left with pulp.
- Step 4 – Transfer the juice to your shot glass jars and store in the fridge or freezer. Take one each day!

How To Store Your Wellness Shots for up to 30 Days!
You can store these wellness shots in the fridge or the freezer. But, it’s important to note that the glass shot jars are NOT freezer friendly. The glass will shatter (I learned the hard way!), so be sure to use the 2 oz plastic jars if you’ll be storing them in the freezer.
Refrigerator – These wellness shots will stay fresh in the fridge for up to 7 days.
Freezer – These wellness shots will stay fresh in the freezer for up to 30 days, so feel free to prep 30 individual shots and you can defrost them one week at a time!
Wellness Shot #1 – Lemon Ginger Anti-Inflammatory Shot

The lemon ginger shot is probably the most popular of all wellness shots and for good reason! This recipe contains ginger, which has antimicrobial properties that can help to fight off unwanted microbes. It also contains turmeric, which has amazing anti-inflammatory properties. And, vitamin C, which can help to boost immunity.
But, of course, I’ve taken the popular lemon ginger shot and put my own holistic twist to it by adding turkey tail extract. Turkey tail is a type of medicinal mushroom that contains Polysaccharopeptides, which have been shown to have powerful immune boosting properties. So much so that turkey tail has been used to help prohibit and fight the spread of cancer cells. (source)
So, to really take the immune boosting properties of this lemon ginger shot to the next level, I like to add turkey tail extract.
Wellness Shot #2 – Pineapple Mint Ginger Shot (beginner friendly)

Admittedly, many wellness shot recipes can be hard to swallow due to their potency. If you’re a beginner, try this pineapple mint shot recipe. It actually tastes delicious!
Pineapples contain a group of powerful enzymes, called bromelain, which can help to support digestion and your overall gut health. Of course, the added ginger root helps to boosts immunity, fight off unwanted microbes, and can also help to support digestion.
If you’re not used to taste of ginger, start with only 1-2 inches worth.
Wellness Shot #3 – Everything Green Mineral Shot

This shot contains lots of greens and leafy greens, such as spinach, contain health promoting minerals, such as magnesium, potassium, and iron. It’s loaded with other plant like lutein and quercetin both of which have anti-inflammatory properties.
Additionally, this shot contains parsley, which is a natural diuretic and can help to rid your body of unwanted water weight (which is usually due to inflammation). It’s also a fantastic source of Vitamin K, which is important for bone health.
To take this wellness shot to the next level, I’ve also added matcha powder. Matcha contains catechins, which is a group of plant compounds, that have antioxidant properties and can help to boost immunity. It’s also a great way to naturally boost energy levels.
Wellness Shot #4 – Berry Beet Energy Shot

Beets are an underrated superfood in so many ways! Firstly, they contain pigments called betalains, which contain a number of anti-inflammatory properties. They’ve been shown to reduce high blood pressure.
And, the nitrates in beets can help to naturally boost energy levels and brain function. Athletes have even been known to consume beet juice and/or beetroot powder to improve their athletic performance.
To take this wellness shot to the next level, I’m also adding in ashwagandha extract. I love taking this shot in the mornings because not only will the beets help to boost energy levels, but the ashwagandha will also! This adaptogenic herb helps to support your adrenal glands, which ultimately helps to support overall hormonal balance in the body.
Wellness Shot #5 – Carrot Apple Turmeric Anti-Inflammatory Shot

The two star ingredients in this shot recipe is – carrots and turmeric. Of course, carrots are loaded with beta carotene, which is a potent antioxidant that can benefit your brain, skin, lung, and eye health.
Turmeric contains curcumin, which has been shown to have powerful anti-inflammatory properties. Some studies have also shown curcumin to have cancer fighting properties due to its immune boosting properties. (source, source)
It’s important to always pair turmeric with black pepper because the pepper helps to maximize absorption of the beneficial compounds in turmeric.
Wellness Shot #6 – Immune Boosting Elderberry Shot

This shot contains blueberries, which are a great source of Vitamin C, and we all know how good Vitamin C is for your immune system. By pairing it with ginger, you get both the immune boosting properties and antimicrobial properties, making this a supercharged wellness shot.
But wait… I also added elderberry extract! Elderberries have gained a lot of popularity in recent years due to its ability to help boost immunity and fight inflammation. It’s high in Vitamin C, phenolic acids (antioxidants), and flavonols (anti-inflammatory). Additionally, black elderberry extract has been shown to help reduce the severity and length of influenza. Do you take each one daily or one per day
Hi, I just saw this video and was wondering the same thing. But in looking at the recipe, it says one shot a day. I guess it can be a different one each day. 😊
Can I use frozen organic fruit in place of fresh?

How do they affect calories and sugar? I always worry about the sugar amount?
Great article! Personally, I often reach for health shots with ginger content. I order them from this website https://www.mrlemonade.co.uk/collections/healthy-shots and I really recommend them!
