Smoothies have a special place in my heart. I just love them. Not only do they taste delicious, but it’s the easiest way to get in greens and nutrient-dense foods without actually having to cook or eat a salad every single day… Lol!
And, my favorite time of day to drink a smoothie is first thing in the morning. It’s so energizing and really helps to boost my brain power and saturate my body with nutrition.
Today, I’m sharing five fat-burning weight loss smoothies that you can use as meal replacements to speed up your weight loss results.
All of these smoothie recipes are 100% gluten free and paleo-friendly. And, some of them are keto-friendly as well. Keep in mind that you can easily make any of my smoothie recipes low carb by replacing the banana/fruit with extra avocado. You can also use frozen pre-steamed cauliflower for a low carb creamy texture.
All of these smoothie recipes contain ingredients that help to increase metabolism, promote fat burning, and reduce inflammation.

Love this. Your recipes are so simple to replicate. It would be nice if the amount of calories were included, but I can work that out on fitness pal
Thx Terri! I’m glad you’re enjoying the recipes.. and, I’ll make an effort to start including the calorie info!
Thanks for your recipes! Do you recommend any particular brand of ground chia seeds or hemp seeds? Do the hemp seeds need to be ground?
Hey there! For the hemp seeds, I usually buy the Manitoba Harvest brand and they do not have to be ground. For the ground chia seeds, I just use any organic brand I can find at my local grocery store or on amazon. Whole Chia and Flax Seeds are very hard to digest unless they’ve been soaked (like with chia pudding). This is why I recommend using ground chia or flax in your smoothies so that you can access the nutrients inside the seeds. Whole hemp seeds are very easy to digest; therefore, they don’t have to be ground. 🙂
What size bottle (oz or ml) do you recommend using?
These smoothie recipes usually yield about 16 oz depending on how much liquid you add… but, typically, for a smoothie I will use either a 16 oz mason jar or 32 oz mason jar.
Hi There!
I am new to your site, can you me the purpose of the mct/cocunut oil in your smoothie recipes?
thank you
Hey Trish! Coconut and/or MCT oil provides medium chain fatty acids (that other oils do not) which are great for energy production and brain function. Coconut oil also contain anti-bacterial and anti-microbial properties 🙂
Hi
Am I
allowed to take it while breastfeeding
Hello Kayla thank you for the smoothie recipes. What is the best smoothie to replace the dinner for weight loss thank you.
Yw! Honestly, any of my smoothie recipes are designed to be meal replacements, so you can’t go wrong with any of them. It’s just flavor preference 🙂
How do you save them for another day?
The smoothies will stay good in the fridge for 2 days. Adding a squeeze of fresh lemon will help preserve the nutrients. Any longer than that and I would use my freezer bag method. https://youtu.be/Xv9R5X2WXN4
Hi Kayla!
Obsessed with your page & recipes! Excited to try these smoothies. Curious if you typically use regular mouth jars or wide mouth jar? Is there a specific Mason Jar you like & recommend? Thank you!
So glad you’re enjoying my recipes! 🙂 I usually use regular mouth mason jar but I do use wide mouth sometimes too!
Hi Kayla! Just wondering what size your Ball mason jars are? Are they 32 oz? Thanks!
In this post, they’re the pint size jars but I do have both pint size and quart size on hand 🙂
Hi Kayla,
I see that the link to the collagen protein powder isn’t working.
Do you have an updated link?
