Anti-Aging Juice Recipe for Glowing Skin & Healthy Aging

This anti-aging juice recipe is packed with colorful fruits and vegetables that provide antioxidants, vitamin C, carotenoids, and other plant nutrients that support healthy skin and overall wellness from the inside out. Made with beets, carrots, strawberries, apples, cucumber, celery, lemon, and fresh ginger, it’s a refreshing way to add a concentrated dose of produce to your day.

I love making fresh juices like this as part of my wellness routine because they make it incredibly easy to consume a variety of fruits and vegetables at once. And while no single food can stop the aging process, consistently nourishing your body with antioxidant-rich, nutrient-dense foods can help support healthy skin, protect cells from oxidative stress, and promote healthy aging.

Why You’ll Love This Anti-Aging Juice

What makes this juice especially good for a healthy-aging routine is the variety of colorful plant foods packed into every glass. Different colors in fruits and vegetables represent different phytonutrients, which is one reason I love combining several of them rather than relying on just one “superfood.”

Here’s why I love This Juice:

  • Packed with antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables
  • Naturally rich in vitamin C and plant compounds
  • Hydrating and refreshing
  • Naturally gluten-free and dairy-free
  • Easy to batch prep
  • A simple way to increase your daily fruit and vegetable intake

How This Juice Supports Healthy Aging

Aging is influenced by everything from genetics and sun exposure to sleep, stress, physical activity, and overall diet. There’s no single “anti-aging” food or drink, but a diet rich in colorful plant foods can provide nutrients and antioxidants that help support the body as it ages.

One of the biggest nutritional benefits of this juice is its antioxidant diversity. Beets provide betalains, carrots provide carotenoids, strawberries provide vitamin C and anthocyanins, and apples contain polyphenols. Together, these plant compounds help the body defend against oxidative stress.

The vitamin C from ingredients like strawberries and lemon is also noteworthy for skin health because vitamin C is required for collagen production. Meanwhile, the carotenoids in carrots support normal skin health, and the high-water ingredients like cucumber and celery make this juice especially refreshing and hydrating.

Think of this juice as one small piece of an overall healthy-aging lifestyle rather than a magic anti-aging drink.

Is Juicing Better Than Eating Whole Fruits and Vegetables?

Juicing and eating whole produce don’t have to be an either-or situation.

Whole fruits and vegetables contain fiber, so they should still make up a significant portion of your produce intake. Juicing removes much of that fiber, but it can be an easy way to incorporate a larger variety of fruits and vegetables into your routine.

I personally like to think of fresh juice as a nutrient-packed addition to a balanced diet, not a replacement for whole fruits, vegetables, protein, healthy fats, and fiber-rich foods.

Can You Make This Juice Ahead of Time?

Short answer – Yes! Here’s how I prep my juices to ensure I preserve the most amount of nutrients as possible.

  • Step 1: Make the Juice. Squeeze fresh lemon juice into the juice before transferring to bottles. The citric acid in the lemon helps to slow down oxidation.
  • Step 2: Transfer juice to individual glass bottles. Leave some space in the bottles to allow the juice to expand as it freezes. Freezing helps to further lock in the nutrients and slow down oxidation.
  • Step 3: Defrost one bottle at a time as needed. I like to transfer one bottle from the freezer to the fridge overnight so it’s defrosted in the morning and ready to drink. Always shake the bottle before drinking.

Tips for Making the Best Homemade Juice

Use fresh, good-quality produce whenever possible and wash everything thoroughly before juicing. There’s usually no need to peel cucumbers, carrots, apples, or beets if they’re well washed and your juicer can handle the skins.

If you’re new to beet juice, you can also start with fewer beets and gradually increase the amount. Beets have a distinctive earthy flavor, but the apples, strawberries, carrots, lemon, and ginger in this recipe help balance it beautifully.

For a less sweet juice, reduce the number of apples or increase the cucumber and celery. For a little more kick, add another inch of fresh ginger.
