3 Healthy Breakfast Smoothies (Paleo & Low Carb)

Paleo Weight Loss Meal Plans

Hey Y’all!  I’m back on the blogging grind sharing 3 Healthy Breakfast Smoothie Recipes with you today (see video below).

I’ve been away the past couple of months designing my brand new 21-Day Total Body Transformation program, which comes with everything you need to jumpstart your health and weight loss, including Holistic, Hormone-Balancing Meal Plans, Custom Supplement Plan, my 3-Day Sugar Detox, 10-Day Smoothie Challenge, and tons of other content to help you achieve your goals.  It’s the most comprehensive program I’ve ever done on holistic weight loss.  It’s the real deal 😉

Anyway, so lets get into the smoothies I’m sharing today…

These smoothies are specifically good for breakfast because they’re energizing, filling, and will help to increase your mental clarity, which we can all use in the morning!

Not only that, but all 3 of these smoothies are full of healthy fats and fiber while adding only a moderate amount of fruit (#2 is completely fruit-free).  This is important because you want to avoid spiking insulin too much in the mornings because it can lead to major cravings the rest of the day.

So, I usually recommend no more than 1 full serving of fruit per serving.  And, be sure to always balance out the sugars with healthy fats and fiber!

Smoothie #1 – Lean Green Matcha Smoothie

This first smoothie recipe is very energizing thanks to the matcha powder I’ve included, but it’s also detoxifying and great for weight loss.  If you don’t like the taste of the kale, feel free to substitute with spinach.

Lean Green Matcha Smoothie

This smoothie is paleo friendly and gluten free.

  • 1-2 C. Water or Unsweetened Almond Milk
  • 1 Frozen Banana (make sure it’s very ripe)
  • 1/2 Ripe Avocado
  • 2 Handfuls of Kale
  • 2 Tbsp Ground Chia Seeds
  • 1 Scoop of High Quality Protein Powder (I’m using collagen protein)
  • 1/4-1/2 tsp Matcha Powder
  1. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. ENJOY!

Feel free to add more or less liquid depending on how thick or thin you want the consistency to be.

Smoothie #2 – Coconut Almond Butter Coffee Smoothie

This smoothie is super low in carbs and high in healthy fats, so it’s great for those of you on a ketogenic or low carb diet.  But, even if you’re not, it’s still delicious.  In fact, it’s one of my favorite breakfast smoothies right now!

I love how much energy it gives me.  And, since it’s full of healthy fats, it keeps me full for hours.

This recipe is actually a twist on the original Bulletproof Coffee blend.  If you’re not familiar with the benefits of Bulletproof Coffee, be sure to read this article I wrote a while back.

Coconut Almond Butter Coffee Smoothie

This smoothie is keto-friendly, paleo-friendly, and gluten free.

  • 1 C. Organic Coffee (brewed (can also add up to 1.5 C. for thinner consistency))
  • 1/4 C. Full-Fat Coconut Milk
  • 1 Tbsp MCT Oil or Unrefined Coconut Oil
  • 1 Tbsp Unsweetened Almond Butter
  • 2 Tbsp High Quality Protein Powder (I’m using collagen protein)
  • 1/4 of an Avocado
  • Cinnamon (to taste)
  • Pinch of Sea Salt or Himalayan Salt
  • Your Choice of Low Carb Sweetener (to taste (I’m using Monk Fruit… can also use Stevia, Birch Xylitol, non-GMO Erythritol, etc.))
  1. Brew your coffee.
  2. Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. ENJOY!

I like to let my coffee chill in the refrigerator. If you don’t have time, you can always add ice.

Smoothie #3 – Brain Boosting Blueberry Smoothie

I call this one “brain boosting” because it contains coconut oil, blueberries, and hemp seeds… all of which are great for brain health.

If you want to add a bit of matcha powder to this smoothie for extra energy, feel free to do so!

If you love blueberries, you’ll really like this smoothie blend.  Sometimes I’ll add a scoop of vanilla protein powder, which makes give a blueberry muffin flavor…. super delicious!
