Hey Y’all! I’m back on the blogging grind sharing 3 Healthy Breakfast Smoothie Recipes with you today (see video below).

Anyway, so lets get into the smoothies I’m sharing today…
These smoothies are specifically good for breakfast because they’re energizing, filling, and will help to increase your mental clarity, which we can all use in the morning!
Not only that, but all 3 of these smoothies are full of healthy fats and fiber while adding only a moderate amount of fruit (#2 is completely fruit-free). This is important because you want to avoid spiking insulin too much in the mornings because it can lead to major cravings the rest of the day.
So, I usually recommend no more than 1 full serving of fruit per serving. And, be sure to always balance out the sugars with healthy fats and fiber!
Smoothie #1 – Lean Green Matcha Smoothie
This first smoothie recipe is very energizing thanks to the matcha powder I’ve included, but it’s also detoxifying and great for weight loss. If you don’t like the taste of the kale, feel free to substitute with spinach.
Smoothie #2 – Coconut Almond Butter Coffee Smoothie
This smoothie is super low in carbs and high in healthy fats, so it’s great for those of you on a ketogenic or low carb diet. But, even if you’re not, it’s still delicious. In fact, it’s one of my favorite breakfast smoothies right now!
I love how much energy it gives me. And, since it’s full of healthy fats, it keeps me full for hours.
This recipe is actually a twist on the original Bulletproof Coffee blend. If you’re not familiar with the benefits of Bulletproof Coffee, be sure to read this article I wrote a while back.
Smoothie #3 – Brain Boosting Blueberry Smoothie
I call this one “brain boosting” because it contains coconut oil, blueberries, and hemp seeds… all of which are great for brain health.
If you want to add a bit of matcha powder to this smoothie for extra energy, feel free to do so!
If you love blueberries, you’ll really like this smoothie blend. Â Sometimes I’ll add a scoop of vanilla protein powder, which makes give a blueberry muffin flavor…. super delicious!
3 Healthy Breakfast Smoothies
Ingredients
Lean Green Matcha Smoothie:
- 1 Frozen Banana
- 1/2 Avocado
- 1 C. Kale, de-stemmed
- 2 Tbsp Ground Chia Seeds
- 1 scoop Protein Powder
- 1 tsp Matcha Powder
- Water, to taste
Coconut Almond Butter Coffee Smoothie (low carb):
- 8 oz Brewed Coffee, chilled
- 1/4 C. Full Fat Coconut Milk
- 1 Tbsp MCT Oil
- 1 Tbsp Almond Butter
- 1 scoop Protein Powder
- 1/4 of an Avocado
- 1/2 tsp Ceylon Cinnamon
- Pinch of Sea Salt
- Low Carb Sweetener, to taste
Brain Boosting Blueberry Smoothie:
- 1/2 Frozen Banana
- 1 C. Frozen Blueberries
- 1 Handful of Spinach
- 2 Tbsp Hemp Seeds
- 1 tsp Virgin Coconut Oil
- Water, to taste
Instructions
- For all of these smoothie recipes, add the ingredients to the blender and blend until smooth.
- Enjoy!
