This Cilantro Lime Dressing only takes a few minutes to make and is so fresh and delicious! You can serve it on salads, over chicken or fish, on tacos, and more. It has a bold flavor that adds to any main dish. Best of all, my version is dairy free!
Homemade Cilantro Lime Dressing
When it comes to a good cilantro lime salad dressing, you can’t beat homemade. It’s extra fresh with a blend of cilantro, lime juice, and olive oil. And, it’s super healthy for you! And, it’s not just for salads. You can also serve it over chicken, fish, tacos, and more.
My version is dairy free. Because my version is dairy free and uses raw cashews, you’ll want to make sure you bring it to room temperature before serving it, which only takes about ten minutes.

Cilantro Lime Dressing Ingredients
This salad dressing comes together in minutes. All you need is a few simple ingredients and a blender or food processor.
- Cilantro. The base of this dressing is one of my favorite herbs, cilantro, which gives it the perfect flavor.
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This adds a rich, creamy texture to the dressing and is necessary to thin it out.
- Cashews. Instead of yogurt, I’ll be using cashews to add extra creaminess. However, you can also use a dairy free plain yogurt if you prefer.
- Lime Juice. To add that extra kick, fresh lime juice is best and pairs so well with the cilantro.
- Honey. Adds the perfect hint of sweetness.
- Garlic. Adds an extra pop of flavor that pairs well with the cilantro and olive oil.
- Jalapeno. This is optional, but I also like adding in a jalapeno for an extra kick and a bit of spice.
