3 Summer Smoothie Bowl Recipes | Gluten Free, Paleo, & Vegan

I hope y’all are having a great summer so far! Down here in Texas, it’s been SO hot and humid (100+ degree temps!), so I’ve been enjoying lots of fresh fruits and raw veggies lately, including these delicious summer smoothie bowls. So, today, I’m going to share 3 of my favorite Smoothie Bowl Recipes that you have to try!

Weight Loss Meal Plans

If you’ve never tried a smoothie bowl, it’s essentially the same thing as a smoothie but thicker. A smoothie bowl is meant to be eaten with a spoon, not a straw, and layered with all sorts of delicious, healthy toppings. Personally, I love smoothie bowls, especially in the hot summer months because they’re so refreshing, light, and hydrating.

Below, I’m sharing three of my go-to smoothie bowl recipes that I’ve been enjoying this summer. All of them are gluten free, paleo, and vegan (if you use a plant-based protein powder).

#1 – Tropical Green Smoothie Bowl

My tropical green smoothie bowl is super tangy thanks to the kiwi, so if you love tangy foods, you’ll love this one!

#2 – Blueberry Blast Smoothie Bowl

This smoothie bowl is full of Vitamin C, which is great for your skin and immune system. The frozen blueberries really give this one a slushy texture, which I love!

#3 – Wake Me Up Sunshine Smoothie Bowl

This smoothie bowl is my go-to anytime I’m craving a tropical flavor. The orange, mango, and pineapple combo is so refreshing and makes me want to go back to the Caribbean! This one is also a big hit with the kiddos!

Instructions

Tropical Green Smoothie Bowl

  • Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth. **Tip: Start with only 1/4 C. of liquid because you want the consistency to be thick enough to eat with a spoon. Then, add more liquid, if needed.
  • Transfer mixture to a bowl and add your favorite toppings. I like to add things like pumpkin seeds, hemp seeds, chopped nuts, fruit, shredded coconut, almond butter, cacao nibs, etc. ENJOY!
