In today’s YouTube video, I shared 3 Healthy Green Breakfast Smoothies for Energy and overall Wellness. And, one of those smoothies is my Green Sunrise Detox Smoothie.
As the name states, this smoothie is great for supporting your body’s natural detox pathways. It contains fresh parsley, which is great for detoxifying the kidneys and eliminating excess fluids in the body.
I also use green apple, which contains pectin, a fiber that’s great for detoxifying heavy metals. And, of course, lemons are great to add to any smoothies for overall detox of your liver.
But, don’t let the word detox deter you from this smoothie because it actually tastes delicious… doesn’t taste like grass! 😉
Green Sunrise Detox SmoothieCourse: Breakfast, SnacksDifficulty: Easy
This breakfast smoothie is gluten free, paleo, and Whole30 friendly.
1/2 Frozen Banana
1/2 Green Apple
2 Tbsp Ground Flax or Chia Seeds
1 Handful Fresh Parsley
1 Handful Spinach
1 Scoop Collagen Protein Powder
Juice from 1/2 a Lemon
Water or Unsweetened Almond Milk, to taste
- Add all ingredients to a blender and blend until smooth.
- Add to a drinking cup and enjoy!!
