Today, I’m sharing my Super Seed Matcha Energy Balls recipe, and the matcha powder in these little snacks are sure to give you that extra boost of energy you need to get through the day!
If you’re not familiar with Matcha, it’s basically ground up green tea leaves. So, instead of brewing the green tea leaves, you’re actually consuming the entire leaf, which means it’s much more potent.
In fact, Matcha is a powerful antioxidant, it’s rich in chlorophyll, and it helps to boost your metabolism. And, because Matcha is naturally caffeinated, it can also help to boost your energy levels and mental clarity.

Super Seed Matcha Energy Balls

Ingredients
1 C. Dates, tightly packed remove pits from the dates first
4 Tbsp Hemp Seeds
4 Tbsp Ground Flax Seeds
4 Tbsp Ground Chia Seeds
1/4 C. Almond Flour
3 tsp Matcha Powder (get culinary matcha to avoid the grassy taste)
1 tsp Cinnamon
1/2 tsp Celtic Sea Salt
1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
Directions
- Add pitted dates to a food processor using the ‘S’ blade.
- Add all remaining ingredients. And, pulse a few times to combine ingredients. Then, add a splash of water (1-2 Tbsp) and process on low until mixture forms a large ball and has a sticky texture.
- Remove mixture from food processor and place onto a plate or bowl. Separate into bite size portions. And, roll each portion into a ball. Coat with hemp seeds (optional). Repeat until all of the mixture is gone.
- Place energy balls in a storage container in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
